The Los Angeles Angels ran into perhaps more trouble than they anticipated against the Kansas City Royals, but still managed to win the three-game series at Kaufman Stadium. Now the Halos will return home for another crucial series against their American League West rivals the Texas Rangers.
The Angels will enter Tuesday's series opener 7.5 games behind the Rangers in the division, but just 2.5 games behind the Baltimore Orioles for the second AL Wild Card spot. This will be one of the last chances for the Angels to gain significant ground in both races.
