Fresh off their sweep of the Red Sox, the Los Angeles Angels are looking to keep their winning ways intact as they head north to face the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.
Dan Haren (8-10, 4.82 ERA) will take the bump for L.A., looking to end the month on a high note. He currently is 0-2 with a 6.27 ERA in four starts in August, including a 7-4 loss to Seattle on Aug. 11. He took a no decision in his last outing after 5.2 innings of two run ball against the Tigers. He's 5-2 with a 1.99 ERA in 10 games at Safeco.
Seattle will send out veteran Kevin Millwood (4-11, 4.28) on Friday. Despite posting a 0-3 record with a 5.76 ERA in his past three starts, Millwood has won his last two against the Angels, sporting a 1.06 ERA in those outings. He hasn't faced them since August of 2010 though.
Despite sitting out against Detroit with a calf strain, Albert Pujols hasn't seemed to be slowing down after posting a .405 batting average with five homers and 14 RBIs in his last 11 games, while going 5 for 11with four RBI in a three-game sweep of Boston.
First pitch is set 7:10 p.m. PT with coverage on Fox Sports West and KLLA 830 AM.
