Angels Vs. Tigers Game Preview: Halos Go For Series Win

With Albert Pujols likely sidelined for a fourth straight game because of a calf injury, the Los Angeles Angels send Ervin Santana to the mound looking to capture the three-game set against the Detroit Tigers.

Without Pujols in the lineup, the Angels have struggled to score much against the TIgers' pitching, and will be challenged again Sunday as Max Scherzer takes the mound. In his last start against the Angels, Scherzer allowed the Angels just one run and three hits over seven innings.

Outfielder Mike Trout has struggled during the series, going 0-9 in two games as the Angels have looked for production without Pujols in the lineup.

Santana looks to capture a victory in his fourth consecutive decision, and third straight start for the Angels, which are looking to stay in the playoff picture in the American League. The Angels stand 3.5 games out of the final Wild Card spot in the American League as of Sunday morning.
