Angels Vs. Red Sox Game Preview: C.J. Wilson Seeks 1st Win In 11 Starts

The Los Angeles Angels are looking to close out their series with the Boston Red Sox with a much-needed sweep, turning to C.J. Wilson to finally earn himself a win.

Wilson (9-9, 3.62 ERA) had a seven-game stretch earlier this year when he was 5-0 with a 1.30 ERA. That stretch ended with a win at Baltimore on June 26, and in the 10 games since then he is 0-5 with a 5.70 ERA.

The Red Sox will counter with Franklin Morales (3-4, 3.67), who has lost his last two starts while giving up eight runs and five homers in 10 2/3 innings. Morales allowed two runs in 1 1/3 innings of work with Colorado in his only meeting with Anaheim in 2010.

Boston's rotation has been struggling at home, owning a 5.88 ERA at Fenway while losing eight of their last 10.

The first pitch is set for 4:10 p.m. PT with coverage on Fox Sports West.
