Angels Vs. Red Sox Game Recap: Angels End Skid; Beat Red Sox 5-3

The Angels put the brakes on a four-game losing streak as they beat the Boston Red Sox 5-3 at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.

Ervin Santana pitched decently enough, going 6.1 innings and only giving up two runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out four while recording the his seventh win on the season.

Albert Pujols picked up his 86th RBI as he singled home Mike Trout to take a 1-0 lead in the third. The Angels added one more in the fourth and Mark Trumbo hit a monster two-run home run in the fifth to jump out to a 4-0 lead.

The Red Sox got on the board when Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a two-run home run but the game was already out of reach for the struggling Red Sox.

Ernesto Frieri pitched a perfect ninth for his 15th save.

Mike Trout got caught stealing in the ninth inning after swiping 30 consecutive bags.
