MLB Standings: Angels' Skid Puts Playoff Hopes In Jeopardy

The Los Angeles Angels sit in third place in the American League West with a 62-60 record after being swept by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in a four-game series at home.

The Angels sit behind the first-place Texas Rangers (70-50) and the Oakland Athletics (65-55). The Angels are nine games back of the Rangers and four games behind the A's. The Halos only lead the last place Seattle Mariners (58-64) by four games.

Baseball Prospectus' Playoff Odds further displays the Angels bleak playoff hopes, listing the club at a 21.4% chance of making the playoffs. The Angels are in fifth place in the AL Wild Card standings.
