Mike Trout is an incredible baseball player. He's brought the Angels back into contention in the American League West, likely cementing himself as the American League Rookie of the Year. There's even talk of an MVP award for the soon-to-be 21-year-old outfielder, which would be pretty neat considering the competition he would have to beat out.
Major League Baseball announced their awards for the month of July on Thursday. Trout took home not only one, but two awards. We'll check him numbers out after the jump.
In the month of July, Trout hit .392/.455/.804 with 10 homers, 23 RBI, 34 runs scored and nine stolen bases.
Yes, we double-checked those numbers. I'm not even sure you could put those kind of stats up on a video game.
