Angels Vs. Rays Game Preview: C.J. Wilson Seeks First Win In 10 Starts

The Los Angeles Angels take on the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 of the four game series, hoping to turn things around after losing the first two games while being outscored 19-3.

C.J. Wilson (9-9, 3.32 ERA) will take the mound for Los Angeles, looking for his first win in his last 10 starts. He'll face off against Alex Cobb (7-8, 4.08 ERA), who has won three straight for Tampa Bay. Wilson may not be able to count on much support from his offense; until Erick Aybar's home run in the third inning of Friday's game, the Rays had held the Angels scoreless in 34 consecutive innings. Cobb is currently on a hot streak, having given up only one run in each of his last three starts and lasted at least seven innings in his last four.

The Angels are only 2 1/2 games out in the AL Wild Card race. If they want to keep pace in that contest, they'll need to figure out how to generate some offense against Tampa Bay.
