Angels Vs. Rays Final Score: Halos Can't Solve David Price, Lose 7-0

The Los Angeles Angels were rebounding nicely as of late and were just coming of a series win as the Texas Rangers were hitting the skids. Then on Thursday night, they were completely shut down at home against the Tampa Bay Rays and starter David Price in a 7-0 loss to start the series. And of course, both the Rangers and Oakland Athletics won their games on Thursday.

In the top of the second inning, the Rays got the scoring started with a solo home run from Ben Zobrist. The fourth inning was the real back-breaker for the Angels and their starter Dan Haren, as the Rays scored four times. B.J. Upton hit a home run, Jeff Keppinger had a two-run RBI single and Ryan Roberts hit a sacrifice fly to suddenly make it 5-0 Tampa Bay.

Evan Longoria launched another homer in the top of the fifth to put the game out of reach for good.

Price held the Halos to just three hits and two walks in seven innings, striking out eight Angels batters along the way. Los Angeles managed just five hits in the game.
