Mike Trout Scratched From Angels Lineup With Left Knee Contusion

The Los Angeles Angels welcome Zack Greinke to the mound on Sunday afternoon, but he won't have Mike Trout atop the lineup. Trout was scratched on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays with a left knee contusion.

Trout, who is hitting .350/.407/.594 and leading the American League in run scored (75), batting average (.350), stolen bases (31), and OPS+ (178), is listed as day-to-day.

Vernon Wells starts in place of Trout in left field. Chris Iannetta gets the call at catcher, his first start since May 8. He was activated from the disabled list on Saturday. Here is the updated Angels starting lineup:

Izturis SS
Kendrick 2B
Pujols 1B
Trumbo RF
Morales DH
Callaspo 3B
Wells LF
Iannetta C
Bourjos CF
