Angels Vs. Royals Final Score: Torii Hunter, Mike Trout Lead Halos To 11-6 Win

The Los Angeles Angels scored early and often on Wednesday afternoon, beating the Kansas City Royals 11-6 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Torii Hunter led the way with four hits, three runs, and three RBI, including his 11th home run of the season in the win.

Mike Trout, as per usual, contributed to the offense as well, hitting his 16th home run and his 20th double, on his way to scoring three runs and driving in two of his own. All the offense came in support of Jered Weaver, who improved to 13-1 on the season by allowing just two runs in five innings in the series finale.

Luke Hochevar allowed eight runs on nine hits in three innings to suffer the loss for Kansas City.

The win gave the Angels six straight series wins at home, where they are 13-5 in their last 18 contests.

The Angels have Thursday off, but conclude their homestand with a three-game weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Dan Haren will start the series opener on Friday, against Alex Cobb for Tampa Bay.
