Angels Vs. Royals: Jean Segura To Make Major League Debut

The Los Angeles Angels look for their third straight win on Tuesday night against the Kansas City Royals, and they will have Jean Segura making his major league debut starting at shortstop. Segura was called up on Sunday after Erick Aybar fouled a ball off his toe on Saturday.

Segura, rated the Angels' second best prospect by Baseball America before the season, batting .294 with 50 runs scored in 94 games with Double A Arkansas this season, with 10 doubles, five triples, and seven home runs. He went 2-for-3 in the 2012 Futures Game in Kansas City, starting at second base for the World Team.

Segura is batting eighth on Tuesday night against the Royals. Here is the Angels' starting lineup:
