The Los Angeles Angels stumbled a bit as the second half of their season got underway. They dropped two out of three games to the New York Yankees in the Bronx over the weekend and will now head to the Motor City to take on the Detroit Tigers for the first time this season. The Halos are just five games behind the Texas Rangers in the American League West and look to gain some ground over the course of the four-game series.
The Tigers, likewise, are trying to gain ground in the AL Central, as they are only 3.5 games behind the Chicago White Sox. The Tigers finally seem to be clicking and are 7-3 over their last 10 games.
