Angels' Mike Trout Wins AL Rookie Of The Month For May

Rookie Mike Trout has been the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's panacea since he's joined the majors, and has been justly compensated for his work since his call-up with the American League's Rookie of the Month award for the month of May.

Trout is currently batting .315 in 127 plate appearance this year with five dingers, 19 RBI and a .373 OBP. Not only that, he's got nine stolen bags, three triples and a .917 OPS. Not bad for a 20 year old.

Aside from all of his impresive stats, the most impressive is the Angels record since he has joined the team. Anaheim was just 6-14 when they called up Trout back on April 28, and have gone 22-12 since he's joined the lineup. Coincidence? I think not.
