Angels Vs. Orioles Final Score: Halos Brutalize Baltimore 13-1 To Complete Sweep

On Wednesday, the bats of the Los Angeles Angels stayed hot -- and then some. The Angels completed a brutally dominating two-game sweep of the hometown Baltimore Orioles with a decisive 13-1 victory.

Torii Hunter homered in the top of the first inning to start the scoring. Mike Trout saved a home run in the bottom of the first inning with an absolutely spectacular catch in center field for the second out. Chris Davis would then single off Jered Weaver and Adam Jones would hit an RBI double to tie the game, 1-1, but that tie would only last until the third inning, when the Halos would begin piling on runs and not letting up.

Kendrys Morales hit a two-run single in the top of the third. The top of the fourth featured six runs from the Angels, including RBI singles by Howie Kendrick, Trout, Hunter, Morales and Alberto Callaspo. Somewhere in there, Trout also scored on a fielding error.

The Orioles made another two-run error in the top of the fifth that made it 11-1. The last two Halos runs came in the top of the seventh, on an RBI double from Peter Bourjos and a third RBI single for Morales.

Jered Weaver had an easy night of work, allowing six hits and a walk over 6.2 innings of work. He improves to 8-1.

Trout was 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored, in addition to his amazing catch. Morales had three hits and four RBI, while Hunter had three hits and four runs scored.
