Freeway Series, Angels Vs. Dodgers: Halos Host Slumping Dodgers In Anaheim

The Angels are 28-15 against the Dodgers all-time in Anaheim.

The Los Angeles Angels host the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second incarnation of the Freeway Series beginning Friday night at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. The Angels have won eight of their last nine series, including taking two of three from the Dodgers from June 11-13 at Dodger Stadium.

Dan Haren gets the start on Friday for the Angels, looking for his sixth win of the season. He lost his last start last Friday against the Arizona Diamondbacks and has allowed nine runs in 11 2/3 innings over his last two starts. He is 5-5 with a 3.27 ERA in 16 career games against the Dodgers, including 15 starts.

The Dodgers just got swept in Oakland after totaling a mere two runs and eight hits in three games against the Athletics. The Dodgers are hitting .220/.302/.301 in June.

Chad Billingsley gets the call for the Dodgers in the series opener, looking for his ... win of the season. Billingsley is 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA in three June starts. In his career, Billingsley is 1-4 with a 4.10 ERA in eight games against the Angels, including six starts.

The Angels have been hot in June, winning 12 of their 18 games during the month, led by Mike Trout (.395/.447/.539, 11 steals, 19 runs in 18 games), Mark Trumbo (.643 slugging percentage, seven home runs, 22 RBI), and Albert Pujols (.292/.375/.538) during the month.

The Angels are 28-15 against the Dodgers all-time in Anaheim. Friday's 7:05 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Fox Sports West (Angels) and Prime Ticket (Dodgers).
