The Los Angeles Angels are coming off of two straight interleague series wins against National League West teams. They first knocked off the Los Angeles Dodgers by taking two out of three games in the Freeway Series, then returned home to the Big A to take two out of three against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On Monday, the San Francisco Giants will come to town for three games and the Angels will attempt to get the better of their old rivals. While the Angels have seen their offense pretty much dry up over their last six games, they have been able to eke out just enough runs for wins. They should prepare for some more tough scoring as they face the formidable pitching staff of the Giants.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers
Monday's game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can catch the radio broadcast on KLAA 830. This game will feature the most intriguing pitching matchup of the series, as Matt Cain will get the start going for his ninth win of the year and making his first start since throwing the 22nd perfect game in MLB history. Taking the ball for the Angels will be Jerome Williams, facing his old team for the first time since his amazing return with the Halos.
Tuesday's game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can catch the radio broadcast on KLAA 830. Barry Zito has been surprisingly strong for the Giants this season, although he has been hit hard in his last few starts. The Angels will try to take advantage of Zito and should feel confident behind C.J. Wilson, who hasn't given up more than one earned run in a start in over a month.
Wednesday's finale will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can catch the radio broadcast on KLAA 830. Ryan Vogelsong has been phenomenal for the Giants once again this season, currently holding a 6-2 record and 2.29 ERA. The Halos counter with hard-luck loser Dan Haren, who has given up nine runs over his last two starts.
