Angels Vs. Diamondbacks Final Score: Halos Shut Out In 5-0 Loss

The Los Angeles Angels hosted the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night in the first game of a three-game interleague series. The Angels were hoping to keep their momentum rolling after taking two of three games in the Freeway Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. While there is still plenty of time left to take this series against the D-backs, the Halos lost on Friday by a final score of 5-0.

Jason Kubel hit an RBI single in the top of the first inning to get the Diamondbacks on the board. Angels starter Dan Haren managed to keep the score at 1-0 until the top of the sixth, when Aaron Hill hit a three-run homer to left field that put Arizona on top by plenty. Ryan Roberts tacked on the insurance run later in the inning with a two-out RBI double.

Arizona starter Trevor Cahill got the win after allowing just three hits and two walks to the Angels in seven innings of work. The Halos managed no baserunners after the seventh inning.

The one-through-five hitters in the Angels lineup were a combined 0-for-19 with a walk by Kendrys Morales.
