Angels Vs. Mariners Final Score: Dan Haren Shuts Out Seattle, 3-0

The Los Angeles Angels picked up a big win on Thursday night, as they put together a trio of runs in support of a brilliant Dan Haren to win the opener of a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners by a final score of 3-0.

Mike Trout singled to lead off the game. Albert Pujols hit a home run with one out to make the score 2-0 Angels. The home run was the fifth of the year for Pujols.

The Angels tacked on an insurance run in the top of the sixth, when Kendrys Morales hit an RBI single that plated Pujols. Pujols had his best game of the year, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, a home run and a stolen base.

Dan Haren likewise had easily his best start of the year, limited the Mariners to just four hits and no walks while striking out an amazing 14 batters in the complete game shutout.
