Angels Vs. Athletics Final Score: C.J. Wilson 1-Hits Oakland In 5-0 Win

Tuesday night was a rare evening where everything went right for the Los Angeles Angels. The Halos evened up their series against the Oakland Athletics and snapped their three-game losing streak with a 5-0 win behind a spectacular C.J. Wilson.

The game was decidedly lopsided as the Angels rapped out 10 hits in the game. They did the big damage in the top of the first inning, as Albert Pujols drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Mark Trumbo and Howie Kendrick added RBI singles to put Los Angeles up 3-0.

Albert Pujols added his fourth home run of the season in the top of the third to make it 4-0 Angels and Erick Aybar took a bases-loaded hit by pitch to drive in the fifth run in the top of the seventh.

Wilson allowed just one hit and two walks in eight innings of work to pick up his fifth win of the year. Trumbo and Kendrys Morales had two hits each.

The Angels will try for the series win in the rubber game on Wednesday.
