Angels Vs. Twins: Jered Weaver Has No-Hitter Through Seven Innings

The Los Angeles Angels are well on their way to a series sweep of the Minnesota Twins Wednesday night at Angel Stadium, leading 9-0, but the story from Anaheim is that Halos ace Jered Weaver has allowed no hits through seven innings against the Twins.

Weaver allowed only one baserunner through six innings, and that was through no fault of his own as Chris Parmelee advanced to first on a strikeout and passed ball in the second inning. Weaver retired 13 straight batters after that before a two-out walk to Josh Willingham in the top of the seventh inning.

Weaver has eight strikeouts through seven innings, and has thrown 98 pitches. The last Angels no-hitter came last season when Ervin Santana no-hit the Indians in Cleveland.
