Angels Vs. Athletics Final Score: Ervin Santana, Mike Trout, Albert Pujols Lead Halos To 4-0 Win

Ervin Santana pitched scoreless baseball into the eighth inning on Tuesday as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Oakland Athletics 4-0 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Albert Pujols went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles in the win, to raise his batting average to .212 on the season.

The Halos with the win snapped a two-game losing streak and salvaged a split of their brief two-game home series with Oakland.

Santana (2-6) won his second straight start after beginning the season by losing his first six starts. He allowed just four hits and three walks in the win, and struck out nine batters, one shy of his season high.

Mike Trout went 3-for-4 with his third home run of the season, a seventh inning solo shot off Bartolo Colon. Trout scored three runs and also stole a base, his third of the year. It was the second time in his career, and the second time in five days that Trout had a home run and a steal in the same game. He did the same against Texas on Friday.

The Angels welcome the Chicago White Sox to town on Wednesday for another brief two-game series. Jerome Williams starts the opener for the Halos, facing Gavin Floyd for the White Sox.
