The Los Angeles Angels are coming off dropping two out of three in brutal fashion to the first-place Texas Rangers, but are returning to Angel Stadium on Monday with a 3-3 record on their road trip. The Oakland Athletics will be first up on this homestand as they kick off a two-game series on Monday.
The A's are 18-17 and are in second place in the American League West, five games behind the Rangers. The Angels will enter the two-game series with a record of 15-20 and in last place, half a game behind the Seattle Mariners.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers
In Monday's opener, Tyson Ross will take the hill for the A's. He is 1-3 with a 7.71 ERA. Dan Haren will start for the Angels and is also 1-3, but has been a hard-luck loser more often than not. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can find the radio broadcast on KLAA 830.
On Tuesday, Bartolo Colon will start for Oakland. He was lights-out at the beginning of the season but has had a rough couple of outings and is now 3-3.
