Angels Vs. Indians: Rain Delays Start In Cleveland

The Los Angeles Angels look to snap a five-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland against the Indians, but they will have to wait a little longer than expected. The second game of the three-game set at Progressive Field was set to begin at 10:05 a.m. PDT, but rain has delayed the start.

The official start time is yet unknown, but the Angels tweeted that they hope to have the first pitch around 11 a.m. PDT.

Once the game starts, Dan Haren will take the mound for the Halos, looking for his first win of the season, facing Jeanmar Gomez for the Indians. The Angels lost the series opener Friday night despite having a 2-0 lead. Once Jered Weaver left, the bullpen allowed three runs on their watch, including a walk-off single in the ninth inning by Asdrubal Cabrera.

After the game, the Angels released Bobby Abreu and recalled Mike Trout, who will begin his third stint in the big leagues by batting leadoff on Saturday, playing left field once the field is ready for play.
