The Los Angeles Angels have dropped each of their first three series to start 2012. They were projected to be instant World Series contenders before the season began and find themselves starting the year off in the cellar of the American League West with a 3-6 record. Of course, there's absolutely no reason to panic with over 150 games left to play, but they'll hope to pick up their first 2012 series win as the Oakland Athletics come to town on Monday for four games at the Big A.
On Monday, the two teams' aces will face off in a strong matchup. Jered Weaver, who is 1-0 with a 3.21 ERA and is looking to get better. Brandon McCarthy, still in search of his first win, will take the hill for the A's in his third start of the season. That game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can listen to the radio broadcast on KLAA 830.
Tuesday's game will feature Halos starter Dan Haren, who has had a rough start with an 0-1 record and 6.97 ERA. He'll face off against Tyson Ross, who is making his season debut for the A's. The game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can listen to the radio broadcast on KLAA 830.
Ervin Santana has struggled early in the season. Heading into Wednesday's game, he holds an 0-2 record and a 7.71 ERA. He'll go up against Bartolo Colon, who been the A's most consistent pitcher thus far, with a 2-1 record and 3.72 ERA. The game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West. You can listen to the radio broadcast on KLAA 830.
The series finale will come on Thursday. C.J. Wilson, who holds a sparkling 2-0 record with a 1.38 ERA, will go up against lefty phenom Tom Milone. Thursday's game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX Sports West and MLB Network. You can listen to the radio broadcast on KLAA 830.
