The Los Angeles Angels' Single-A affiliate Inland Empire 66ers have named Joe Hudson the team's new general manager, according to an announcement made by the team on Tuesday.

Hudson, who has been a part of the Elmore Sports Group for 11 seasons, worked in the 66ers food and beverage operations from 2007 to 2010. He also spent two summers with the Helena Brewers and a year with the Utah Grizzlies. In 2010, he was named the team's assistant general manager. The 66ers have operated with two assistant general managers working in tandem over the past two seasons, but decided to promote Hudson into the role of general manager.

Hudson is a native of San Bernardino, resides in Yucaipa, and grew up watching minor league baseball in the Inland Empire.

The 66ers finished with a 66-74 record in the California League in 2012. The club's affiliation with the Angels began in 2010.
