The Los Angeles Angels on Monday made official their four-year contract with second baseman Howie Kendrick, buying out three years of free agency. The total contract with worth $33.5 million, and thanks to the Associated Press we have the contract details:
- $1.4 million signing bonus (payable $300,000 within 30 days of the contract signing, $300,000 on January 15, 2013, $400,000 on January 15, 2014, and $400,000 on January 15, 2015)
- 2012: $4.5 million
- 2013: $8.75 million
- 2014: $9.35 million
- 2015: $9.5 million
This means the Angels have roughly $133.6 million committed to 15 players in 2012:

There are also arbitration raises due to Erick Aybar, Kendrys Morales, and Alberto Callaspo, who made a combined $7.975 million in 2011. Without any other moves, the Angels figure to have a payroll somewhere in the $150 million range in 2012.
