Ervin Santana Looks For Sixth Straight Road Win As Angels Battle Orioles

Santana allowed one run on three hits in a win over the Orioles in Baltimore on July 22.

Ervin Santana looks for his sixth consecutive road victory on Saturday night as the Los Angeles Angels battle the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. In his last five starts away from home, Santana is 5-0 with a 2.06 ERA, with 12 walks and 24 strikeouts in 39 innings. He has pitched six innings or more in 15 straight starts.

The Angels lost 8-3 in Baltimore Friday night, and are down three and a half games in the American League West with 12 games to play. The Rangers play the Mariners in Seattle at the same time as the Halos play the Orioles. The Angels announced that their final regular season game, against Texas in Anaheim, would start at 5:05 p.m. PDT.

Rookie Zach Britton gets the start Saturday night for the Orioles. On the season he is 9-10 with a 4.43 ERA, but in his last eight starts he has allowed 34 runs in 34 innings.

The Angels have three hits in 35 at-bats with runners in scoring position in their last five games.
