Ervin Santana takes the mound Tuesday night for the first time since his no-hitter, as the Angels open a three-game series against the Twins in Anaheim. The Angels return home after going 6-4 on their 10-game road trip, and are two games behind Texas for first place in the American League West. The Angels are 13-3 in their last 16 home games.
The no-hitter for Santana capped off an incredible run, as the right-hander has allowed two earned runs or less in seven of his last eight starts. During that span, Santana is 3-2 with a 2.04 ERA, with 11 walks and 49 strikeouts in 57 1/3 innings. The 10 strikeouts in his no-hitter in Cleveland were a season high for Santana.
Left-hander Brian Duensing gets the start for Minnesota, who are 3-4 in the first seven games of their 10-game road trip. The Angels took two of three in Minnesota earlier this season.
Tonight's 7:05 p.m. PDT game will be televised by KCOP. For more news and information on the Angels, or on today's game, be sure to read Halos Heaven.
