The Angels activated Vernon Wells from the disabled list Tuesday prior to their game with the Tampa Bay Rays. Wells had been on the DL since May 9th with a strained right groin. Last night with Class-A Inland Empire Wells went 1-for-3 with a 3-run double, and a walk. Wells gets the start in center field and will bat 7th.
