Jered Weaver Loses Again As Angels Fall To Rangers 4-1

For the third straight game, Jered Weaver was unable to get a victory.  Friday night in Arlington, Weaver allowed solo home runs to Elvis Andrus in the first inning and Adrian Beltre in the 6th as the Rangers beat the Angels 4-1.  The Halos had won 5 of their last 8, but remain atop the AL West by .5 game.

Weaver had started the season with 6 straight wins, however tonight's loss dropped him to 6-3.  In 6 innings Friday night, he allowed 4 runs on seven hits.  He struck out 6 and walked one.

Ranger starter Alexi Ogando scattered 5 hits over 6.1 innings, allowing one run while striking out 5 and walked one.  The lone run came on Erick Aybar's first home run of the year in the third inning.
