LA Galaxy Midfielder David Beckham Suspended, Fined For Actions Against San Jose

The L.A. Galaxy will be without their most famous player the next time they play due to a one-game suspension to David Beckham. According to an official release from MLS, Beckham has been received the suspension and an undisclosed fine for his actions against San Jose on June 30.

The Committee considered his conduct unacceptable and detrimental to the League's public image.

Beckham will serve his suspension on Sunday when the Galaxy take on the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park. No word on who will replace Beckham in the lineup as of yet.

Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena was also fined an undisclosed amount by the Disciplinary Committee for public criticism of the officials following the loss to San Jose on June 30.

The fines will be paid to charitable partners of MLS, which is always a good cause.
