The LA Galaxy travel up to the Pacific Northwest this weekend to take on the Portland Timbers on Saturday Night in the NBC Sports Game of the Week. The Galaxy have won three of their last five matches as they have returned to being competitive after a slow start. The Timbers have been excellent at home, but without a road victory flounder at the bottom of the table.

On his birthday last Sunday, Robbie Keane notched a brace to give the Galaxy a comfortable 0-2 victory in Chicago. It was Keane's second two goal match of the season, last achieved in LA's 3-1 March 18th victory over DC United. Keane has six goals on the season just past the halfway mark.

Landon Donovan, who has registered a goal or an assist in ten of his last twelve matches against the Chicago Fire, set up Keane's second goal. The assist was Donovan's 99th of his MLS career. His next assist will make him the sixth MLS player to reach the 100 assist mark; Steve Ralston holds the all time record with 135 assists.

The Timbers are certainly glad this match is at home, as the road has been none too kind to them. The Timbers have gone 517 minutes without a goal on the road after their 3-0 loss at Real Salt Lake over the weekend. Their last road goal came in an April 14th loss at LA; on June 17th the Timbers lost 1-0 at The Home Depot Center for the Galaxy's first clean sheet of the year.
