2012 MLS Standings: Two Recent Losses Put LA Galaxy In 7th Place

Recent struggles of the Los Angeles Galaxy have left them in an unenviable position, standing in seventh place with 10 points. The Galaxy lost a close game to the New York Red Bulls on Saturday falling 1-0, and before that went down to the Seattle Sounders 2-0. The full MLS Western Conference Standings:

1) San Jose Earthquakes - 22 points

2) Real Salt Lake - 22 points

3) Seattle Sounders FC - 19 points

4) Vancouver Whitecaps FC - 17 points

5) Colorado Rapids - 12 points

6) FC Dallas - 10 points

7) LA Galaxy - 10 points

8) Chivas USA - 9 points

9) Portland Timbers - 8 points

LA Galaxy next travels to Montreal to face the Impact, a team sitting in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings with 11 points, total close to that of the Galaxy. That game takes place at 4:00pm EDT on Saturday, May 12.
