The defending MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy announced their 2013 season opener on Tuesday. The club will host the Chicago Fire at The Home Depot Center on Sunday, March 3.

Details regarding kickoff time and broadcast information will be announced in the next few weeks as a part of the complete 2013 regular season schedule announcement. The 2013 slate will mark the second-consecutive season in which all 19 MLS clubs play 34 regular season games.
The Galaxy are 8-6-3 in season openers and have posted a 2-2-1 mark in season openers played at The Home Depot Center.
Season ticket plans are available for as low as $250 and include a ticket to all 17 of the club's regular season home games, as well as five bonus games and a number of exclusive benefits.
