The LA Galaxy fell to Real Salt Lake, 2-1, on Saturday night in Carson, Calif.
Real Salt Lake's Fabian Espindola scored both goals for Real Salt Lake just minutes apart as the race for playoff positioning continues.
Real Salt Lake is getting closer to securing the second seed in the Western Conference as they try to hold off LA and Seattle for the playoff spot. The Galaxy are now only one point ahead of the Sounders for the third seed.
Aside from the loss, the Galaxy received more bad news as one of their leaders, Landon Donovan, was taken off the field with an injury with 10 minutes to go. There is no official word on how serious Donovan's injury is. Donovan joins center back A.J. DeLaGarza and left back Todd Dunivant as injured team members.
The only positive the Galaxy got from the game was their lone goal was scored by Robbie Keane, giving him 15 goals on the season.
