After tying the Colorado Rapids 1-1 Sunday, the LA Galaxy are currently third in the MLS Western Conference with 50 points.

The one point the Galaxy earned from the draw moved them ahead of the Seattle Sounders. LA could have moved into a tie for second place with a win, but instead trail Real Salt Lake by two points with three regular season games remaining.

The Galaxy's three remaining games are against the other top teams in the Western Conference. They will have a chance to pass Real Salt Lake when they face them in their next game, then Los Angeles will wrap up the regular season with games against San Jose and Seattle. With a good showing in their final three games, the Galaxy have a good shot at the No. 2 seed.

Chivas USA lost 4-0 to San Jose on Saturday and remain last in the Western Conference with 28 points. Chivas has the worst goal differential in the league and are 18th out of 19 teams in points.
