Chivas USA host the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday in Western Conference MLS action. This is the third meeting between the teams this season. They played to a 1-1 draw back in May, and San Jose took a 4-0 dominant victory when the two played Sept. 2.
There isn't much on the line for Chivas USA except pride. San Jose has clinched a playoff spot, while Chivas sits at the very bottom of the rankings. The Goats' most recent game, a 2-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders, did show improved play from the San Jose loss. That isn't much consolation when on a six-game winless streak, but at this point in the season Chivas may be inclined to take what they can get. They've been competitive with San Jose in the past, and fans hope they can find a way to do it again Saturday night.
