Chivas USA Vs. Revolution: Goats Score Twice In The 2nd Half To Earn 3-3 Draw

In desperate need of points to stay in the MLS playoff picture, Chivas USA was able to pick up one point Wednesday by earning a 3-3 draw with the New England Revolution.

Chivas now has 28 points on the season, nine behind the Vancouver Whtiecaps for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Chivas does have the advantage of having played three fewer matches, but they need to consistently start adding points.

Early on against the Revolution it appeared Chivas would be heading home without any points as they fell behind 3-0 just 21 minutes into the game. Shalrie Joseph, however, got them on the board just two minutes later with the first of his two goals.

Chivas trailed 3-1 at halftime, but came out strong in the second half. Joseph scored his second goal of the match at the 46-minute mark, with Miller Bolanos tying the game at 3-3 just a minute later. Neither team was able to break the tie over the final 43 minutes, and the match ended in a draw.

Chivas will try to add more points on Sunday when they travel to San Jose to face the Earthquakes.
