Chivas USA announced Friday that they have fired head coach Robin Fraser and assistant coach Greg Vanney after two seasons with the club.
In his tenure at Chivas USA, Fraser went 15-32-21 with the club and failed to reach the playoffs in either of his two seasons at the helm.
Before taking over the Red-and-White, Fraser spent the previous four seasons as an assistant with Real Salt Lake under Jason Kreis. As a player, Fraser played for the Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew and the Los Angeles Galaxy over a 10 year MLS career. Fraser scored seven goals while in the MLS and was named the MLS Defender of the Year in 1999 and 2004.
Along with Fraser and Vanney, Chivas USA announced that they are parting ways with technical director and head scout Simon Elliott along with head athletic trainer Brian Lee. Lee joined Fraser's staff within months of his January 2011 hiring while Elliot was named to Fraser's squad in March of this year following a nine-year career in the MLS.
