Chivas USA will play its final home match of the season when it hosts the Colorado Rapids on Sunday.
After breaking a five match scoreless streak in their last match against Dallas, Chivas USA will attempt to earn at least a point in back-to-back match for the first time since early July. Chivas USA will be playing its first match since the MLS took a international break for World Cup qualifying matches.
This will be the third meeting between teams this season. Colorado won the first match 4-0 with the teams playing to a 1-1 draw in August. Colorado has dominated the matchup recently, as Chivas has not defeated the Rapids since 2009. Colorado currently has a seven-match unbeaten streak against Chivas.
If the Rapids are going to keep their unbeaten streak against Chivas USA alive, they will have to due it without a few key players. Colorado will be without Anthony Wallace, Pablo Mastroeni, Edu and Matt Pickens due to injury. Sunday's match from the Home Depot Center is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. PT.
