Anaheim Ducks Trade Maxime Macenauer To Winnipeg Jets For Riley Holzapfel

The Anaheim Ducks on Monday made a trade, acquiring center Riley Holzapfel from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for center Maxime Macenauer, in a trade of 23-year old centers.

Hozapfel was drafted in the second round of the 2006 by the Atlanta Thrashers, who are now in Winnipeg. Hozapfel has eight goals and seven assists this season in 29 games for St. John's of the American Hockey League. He has yet to play in the NHL.

Macenauer made his NHL debut for the Ducks this season, scoring a goal and having three assists in 29 games. Selected in the third round of the 2007 draft by Anaheim, Macenauer also had four goals and two assists in 13 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.

In another roster move, Anaheim recalled defenseman Nate Guenin from Syracuse. He was just assigned to Syracuse on Saturday.
