Ducks Vs. Stars: Anaheim Opens Homestand Against Dallas

Anaheim is 9-1-1 in their last 11 games.

The Anaheim Ducks look to continue their winning ways as they open up a four-game homestand Wednesday night against the Dallas Stars at Honda Center in Anaheim. The Ducks are 9-1-1 in their last 11 games overall, and have won each of their last six home contests.

Andrew Cogliano had his first career hat trick on Tuesday night in Phoenix, a natural hat trick at that, with all three goals coming in the second period of the Ducks' 4-1 victory over the Coyotes. "I was just trying to shoot everything after that - you never know. I caught Smith off-guard with a couple shots. Those won't go in every night, but for myself I need to shoot more. You can't have a better example of that," Cogliano told NHL.com.

The Ducks have put the puck in the net quite often during their 11-game run, scoring 40 goals during that span, an average of 3.64 goals per game. The Ducks are 1-3-0 against the Stars this season, with their lone victory coming in Anaheim on January 10. This is the fifth of six meetings between the two teams this season.

Wednesday night's 7:30 p.m. PST game will be televised by KDOC. For more news and notes on Ducks hockey, be sure to read Anaheim Calling.
