The Anaheim Ducks hosted The Colorado Avalanche and won despite a late rally by the Avalanche, 3-2 on Sunday night at the Honda Center.
The victory sealed their fifth straight victory.
The win didn't come easy as Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller made 43 saves on the night. Captain Ryan Getzlaf scored in the third period and assisted on another goal scored by Bobby Ryan to essentially put the game away.
However, Avalanche's Ryan O'Reilly scored at 14:51 for his 14th goal of the season in the third period to cut the lead 3-1. A minute and half later, Milan Hejduk scored his 12th goal of the season to help rally Colorado. Ducks then stepped it up on defense and ultimately won the game.
Former Ducks goalie, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, allowed three goals on only 18 shots on goal.
Colorado was coming off a 3-1 victory against the Kings the previous night.
The Ducks will travel to Dallas as they face the Stars on Tuesday at American Airlines Center. Gametime is at 5:30 p.m PT.
