Anaheim Ducks Recall Defenseman Nate Guenin From Syracuse

The Anaheim Ducks are on fire, winners of five of their last six games, and they return home Wednesday night to open a three-game homestand against the Pacific Division rival Phoenix Coyotes. The Ducks are 5-0-1 in their last six games, taking a six-game point streak into Wednesday's contest. Anaheim made a roster move on Wednesday, recalling defenseman Nate Guenin from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Guenin, who was acquired via trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets in January 2011, has appeared in nine games for the Ducks this season, scoring one goal and accumulating six penalty minutes. The 29-year old defeseman scored his first NHL goal on October 7 when the Ducks battled the Buffalo Sabres in Helsinki, Finland. Guenin had three assists in 19 games with Syracuse this season.
