Over the past couple of weeks, the Anaheim have slowly but steadily been improving. The most significant development is that they can no longer be referred to as "arguably the worst team in the NHL." That mantle has been firmly bestowed on the Columbus Blue Jackets and there is no arguing about it. The Ducks are 6-3-1 over their last 10 games and have won two in a row. They will hope to keep that momentum going in this week's games.
The Ducks will return to Anaheim this week to play a three-game home stand. Considering how much better the team as been playing at home than on the road this season, that could be a very good thing in terms of maintaining momentum.
First up is a game against division rivals the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday, January 18. The Ducks are only 10 points behind the Coyotes for fourth place in the Pacific Division. The puck will drop for Wednesday's game at 7:00 PM PT and will air on Prime Ticket.
On Saturday, January 21, the Ducks will play in what is sure to be their toughest game of the week, as they host the Ottowa Senators, currently one point behind the Boston Bruins for the top spot in the competitive Northeast Division. That game will begin at 1:00 PM PT and will also air on Prime Ticket. That game is a giveaway day if you wanted to attend the game in person. The promotion involves a Ducks T-shirt.
On Sunday, January 22, the Ducks will wrap up their home stand when the Colorado Avalanche come to town. The Avalanche are firmly in the middle of the pack in the Northwest Division. Sunday's game begins at 5:00 PM PT and is also set to air on Prime Ticket.
