Cam Fowler Overtime Goal Gives Ducks 5-4 Win Over Flames In Calgary

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Rookie defenseman Cam Fowler scored with 18.6 seconds remaining in overtime, and the Anaheim Ducks rallied to beat the Calgary Flames, 5-4, at Scotiabank Saddledome. Anaheim forward Teemu Selanne had tied the game with 2:07 remaining on the Ducks' lone power play, taking a pass down low from Ryan Getzlaf and beating Miikka Kiprusoff. In the extra session, Fowler, the 12th overall pick in the 2010 draft, whipped a backhander past the Calgary netminder.

Saku Koivu registered two goals and an assist and Selanne added three helpers for the Ducks, who have won three straight and 13 of their last 17 games. Curtis McElhinney turned aside 21 of the 25 shots he faced. Jarome Iginla, Olli Jokinen and Curtis Glencross each had a goal and an assist for Calgary, which got 25 saves from Kiprusoff. Despite the loss, the Flames extended their point streak to 10 games (8-0-2).
