Ducks Vs. Coyotes: Anaheim Falls 4-2 in Phoenix, Loses Fifth Straight

The Anaheim Ducks continued their horrendous slide, falling in Phoenix 4-2 to the Coyotes. It was the fifth straight loss for the Ducks, who have just two wins and eight total points in their last 16 games (2-10-4). Radim Vrbata scored two goals for the Coyotes in the win. Mike Smith saved 19 of 21 shots for Phoenix.

The Ducks had just eight shots on goal in the first two periods. Through 21 games this season Anaheim has scored just 43 goals, and their 2.05 goals per game average is second worst in the NHL, ahead of only the New York Islanders at 2.00 goals per contest.

Corey Perry scored in the third period for Anaheim, his eighth goal of the season.

The Ducks return home to Anaheim to host the Chicago Blackhawks Friday night at Honda Center.
