Ducks Vs. Red Wings: Anaheim Suffers Power Outage, Fourth Straight Loss 4-2

Brad Stuart scored two goals on Sunday night, leading the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center. It was the fourth consecutive loss for Anaheim, who has a mere two wins and eight points in their last 15 games (2-9-4).

Down 1-0 in the first period, there was a power outage at Honda Center that caused a 27-minute delay. The Red Wings built on their lead with a pair of goals in the first seven minutes of the second period, both assisted by Pavel Datsyuk, for a 3-0 Red Wings lead.

Jimmy Howard saved 32 of 34 shots in the victory.

Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne scored goals in the second period to pull within 3-2, but the Ducks were unable to tie the score. Anaheim pulled goaltender Jonas Hiller in the final minute to get an extra skater on ice, but Stuart added an empty-net goal to provide the final margin.

Anaheim has two days off before traveling to the desert Wednesday night for a road game against the Phoenix Coyotes. It is the only night the Ducks are out of southern California in a 32-day period through December 7.
