Ducks Vs. Predators: Mindful Of Playoff Defeat, Anaheim Heads Back To Nashville

The Anaheim Ducks have gained three of a possible four points in the first two games of their seven-game road trip. On Saturday night, the are in Tennessee to battle the Nashville Predators, who eliminated the Ducks from the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs.

"I don’t think anybody’s forgotten the feeling of getting kicked out of the first round," defenseman Cam Fowler told Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register on Saturday morning.

As for tonight, Jen Neale at Anaheim Calling believes the key for the Ducks will be the power play:

Anyway, the Ducks feed off the success of the power play. If they playoffs were any indication of how Nashville prefers to take penal...AAHHH...woah...just fell down mid-sentence with no one around me. Where was I? Yes, the penalties. Nashville is 17th in power play percentage. Not exactly the overpowering threat, but the more penalties the Ducks take, the quicker they wear out their penalty killers. Discipline on our part is key. It also helps to beat the Preds at their own game by drawing penalties on Suter and Weber.

Saturday's 5 p.m. PDT game will be televised on KDOC. For more Ducks news and information, be sure to read Anaheim Calling.
